Eastside was the center for the Black community in Riverside, from the 1910s through the 1960s, when the Black population there peaked. This StoryMap shares stories of how the Black community was built on the Eastside, with businesses, social spaces and churches forming the foundation of civil rights activism through the early 20th century.
