Agriculture Labor Latina/o/x Oral History

The Bracero program was a guest worker program between the United States and Mexico that began during World War II (1942). Through this agreement laborers from Mexico were brought into the United States to alleviate work shortages. Braceros who came to the Inland Empire built communities in the camps they lived in and with local communities.
